Opening theme song for anime adaptation of "Snowball Earth" announced

For the upcoming anime television series adaptation of the manga Snowball Earth (Sunoubōru Āsu), the title track for the opening theme has been selected. The song titled "Zero" is performed by singer-songwriter tuki. This marks the artist's debut in performing an anime theme song.

Coinciding with the announcement, original manga creator Yuhiro Tsujitsugu released a specially created illustration.

The series is based on the manga of the same name by Yuhiro Tsujitsugu, which has been serialized in Shogakukan's Monthly Big Comic Spirits since January 2021. The story follows Tetsuo Yabusame, a reserved protagonist, and his giant robot companion Yukio. Together, they face an invasion of alien creatures. After a final confrontation in space, Tetsuo returns to Earth years later only to find the planet completely covered in ice and snow. The series is produced by Studio KAI. Direction is handled by Munehisa Sakai, while Shigeru Murakoshi is in charge of series composition.

The voice cast includes Takuto Yoshinaga as the protagonist Tetsuo and Daisuke Hirakawa as the voice of the robot Yukio.
