The main characters of the series will be brought to life by voice actors Yūma Uchida and Ayane Sakura. Uchida will voice the demon Masatora Akutsu, who is searching for a suitable idol for the demon world. Sakura, on the other hand, lends her voice to Lily Amane, a popular school idol with a hidden identity as an angel.

The series is directed by Itsuro Kawasaki, who also handles the script. Additional contributions come from Yūko Yahiro, who takes care of the character designs, and Takurō Iga, who composes the music for the series. ANLA will oversee the music production. The animation work is being carried out by Children's Playground Entertainment in collaboration with GAINA.

The story of "Oroka na Tenshi wa Akuma to Odoru" revolves around Masatora Akutsu's search for an idol for demons. This journey leads him to Lily Amane, whom he tries to persuade to join him. The twist lies in his discovery of Amane's angelic identity and his subsequent efforts to make her fall from grace.

The original manga debuted in 2016 in Kadokawa's Dengeki Maoh magazine and has since released 15 volumes.
