Overlord IV - Episode 4

In "Overlord IV" Episode 4, the story revolves around Ainz Ooal Gown's visit to the imperial capital Arwintar and his participation in a battle at the colosseum.

After Albedo departs from E-Rantel on a special envoy mission, Ainz travels to Arwintar with Ainzach to recruit adventurers for real adventures. In the capital, Ainz visits his acquaintance Flugel and shares with him the Book of the Dead from Earth, which reveals some of his secrets.

Ainzach suggests that Ainz should take part in a fight at the colosseum to promote his plan of recruiting adventurers. Ainz agrees and meets with Osk, the promoter of the Warrior King, who has researched Ainz and employs a Bunny Person maid to assess Ainz's strength. Ainz commits to fighting without magic or magical items, aside from his own innate abilities.

At the colosseum, Ainz faces the Warrior King Go Gin, a war troll known for his skills and nobility. Despite his abilities, Go Gin is no match for Ainz, even when Ainz restrains his power. Go Gin notices Ainz's restraint, removes his armor, and urges Ainz to display a fraction of his full strength.

When Ainz obliges, his defense proves impenetrable, and he effortlessly defeats Go Gin with a single strike. After the victory, Ainz addresses the audience, announces his initiative to recruit adventurers, and resurrects Go Gin, leaving the crowd in stunned silence.

Emperor El-Nix, having witnessed Ainz's overwhelming power and realizing the futility of resistance, offers the empire as a vassal state to Ainz. Unaware of the implications, Ainz hastily leaves the scene, allowing El-Nix to interpret his actions as strategic.

The episode concludes with a humorous remark about Ainz's unintended success in diplomacy, as his actions are perceived as calculated moves despite his actual lack of understanding.
