Overtake! Anime Project Reveals More Staff, New Promotional Video, and Premieres in October

Kadokawa and TROYCA have announced additional staff, a new promotional video, and an October premiere date for their joint anime project Overtake!



Overtake! revolves around Formula 4 (F4) motorsports and tells the story of freelance photographer Kōya Madoka, who is experiencing a slump due to a certain reason. At Fuji International Speedway, he meets high school F4 racer Haruka Asahina. Kōya feels a new sense of excitement and begins supporting Haruka and the youth team "Komaki Motors" in their endeavor to help Haruka fulfill his dreams.

The anime's cast includes Anan Furuya as Haruka Asahina, Katsuyuki Konishi as Kōya Madoka, Tasuku Hatanaka as Kotarō Komaki, Kengo Kawanishi as Satsuki Harunaga, Taku Yashiro as Toshiki Tokumaru, and Reina Ueda as Arisu Mitsugawa.

Additional staff for Overtake! includes Art Director Akira Itō, Color Key Artist Mariko Shinohara, Art Direction by Tomoyuki Arima and Takuya Sejima, CG Director Masaya Machida, Visual Effects by Ryosuke Tsuda, Compositing Director of Photography Tomoyoshi Katō, Editor Shota Migiyama, Sound Director Jin Aketagawa, and music by Kana Utatane. Music production is handled by F.M.F., with Lantis serving as the music producer.

Kadokawa and TROYCA are responsible for the original work. As previously announced, Ei Aoki of TROYCA is directing, while Ayumi Sekine is in charge of the series' scripts. Masako Matsumoto is adapting Takako Shimura's original character designs for animation, with Katsuhiko Takayama overseeing the project.
