Haruka Asahina, the team's driver, is surprised to learn that as part of the sponsorship deal, they will be filming a commercial. Despite his initial reluctance, Haruka agrees to participate in the shoot.

During the filming, Haruka is asked about his racing career and motivations. He reveals that his father was a racer and that he is driven by a mix of admiration for his father and his own desire to win. Meanwhile, Koya watches the shoot and reflects on his role in securing a sponsor for the team.

The episode then shifts to the racetrack, where Haruka and Tokumaru Toshiki of Belsorriso engage in a fierce rivalry. The tension between the two stems from an incident during a previous race, explained in a flashback. Haruka had followed the rules and moved aside to let faster cars pass, but Tokumaru had attempted to overtake another car and collided with it. This incident left a lasting strain on their relationship.

During the race, Tokumaru and his teammate Harunaga Satsuki employed a strategy known as "drafting" to gain speed. Nevertheless, Haruka manages to take the lead and overtakes Tokumaru. However, Tokumaru then suffers a brake failure, goes off the track, and loses several positions. Haruka seizes the opportunity and finishes the race in fourth place, setting a new personal best time.

After the race, Haruka shares why he races. He explains that he doesn't just race because of his father's influence but also to one day stand on the winner's podium. The episode ends with a playful water fight as the team members celebrate their small victory and look forward to the final race.
