The animation studio P.A.WORKS will host a film festival in its hometown in March 2027. The "P.A.WORKS Original Animation Film Festival in Hokuriku" will take place on March 20 and 21, 2027, at the traditional event hall "Johana-za" in the Johana district of Nanto, Toyama Prefecture.

Ahead of the festival, the studio will launch a crowdfunding campaign on the CAMPFIRE platform from April 10 to May 31, under the slogan "We will continue to create works – We want to realize a film festival at the founding location of P.A.WORKS."

Five original productions from the studio will be screened, each accompanied by live commentary from the filmmakers. Talk sessions with the audience are also planned. The program includes the following works:
- "Hanasaku Iroha – Home Sweet Home" (2013),
- "Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms" (2018),
- "Shirobako: The Movie" (2020),
- "Welcome to the Komada Distillery" (2023), and
- "Alice in Wonderland – Dive in Wonderland" (2025).

The festival's logo features a map of the three prefectures of the Hokuriku region, with the city of Nanto marked by a pin, cut out in the shape of a film strip. The years 2013 to 2025 refer to the release periods of the studio's theatrical films. Additionally, a special collaborative key visual will be created for the festival, uniting the featured films. It will be used for program booklets and merchandise and will also serve as a thank-you gift for supporters of the crowdfunding campaign.

Further rewards for supporters include seating categories and collaboration items that connect the films with regional specialties from the Hokuriku region.

Parallel to the festival, the new original animation project "Tōkai – Lantern Festival" will also be introduced. This project is a touring event where, starting in 2028, new works from the studio will be shown at various locations across Japan. Concurrently with the film festival, a pre-event for this project will be held at the neighboring "Nanto Creator Plaza."
