The light novel series "Game Sekai Tensei 〈Dan Katsu〉 ~Gāmā wa [Dungeon Shūkatsu no Susume] wo 〈Hajime kara〉 Purei suru~" by author Nishikigi Kaede is being adapted into a TV anime. The work, also known by the short title "Dan Katsu," is published in Japan by TO Books.

The story follows a passionate gamer with over 8,000 hours of playtime, who is reborn as the hero Zephyrus into the world of his beloved role-playing game "Dan Katsu." In this world, however, the prerequisites for learning professions (jobs) are unknown, and there is confusion, as, for example, "fun professions" are mistakenly considered particularly valuable. As Zephyrus, who possesses the rare job of the hero, he uses his extensive game knowledge to recruit talented companions. Together, they strive to establish the strongest guild alliance and fully enjoy the challenges of dungeon exploration.

The novel series, originally published on the Kakuyomu platform, now comprises 15 volumes, with the latest released on March 15. Publisher TO Books also releases a manga adaptation illustrated by Asahi Aoki, which ran in the magazine Corona EX.

Author Nishikigi Kaede expressed delight at the announcement: "Congratulations on the 'Dan Katsu' anime adaptation! I want to thank everyone who has read 'Dan Katsu' and supported me. Thanks to your support, I have been able to persevere as an author until now. Now, Zephyrus and the others will spread their wings in the anime world. I am very much looking forward to the anime adaptation."

Further details regarding the cast, production team, or the anime series' start date are still pending.
