Potion-danomi de Ikinobimasu! -Episode 2

At the beginning of Episode 2, Kaoru meets Hector, Eunice, and their knightly companion Francette from the Kingdom of Balmore. Kaoru, who is mistaken for a goddess, listens to their sorrows about their sick grandmother. She decides to brew a potion from the tears she sheds upon hearing their sad stories. Francette's story about her fear of lifelong loneliness touches Kaoru deeply. She gives them three potions: one for the grandmother, one for Francette, and one for Hector, which he can use as he pleases.

A month later, in the Kingdom of Balmore, Hector's grandmother miraculously recovers after drinking the potion. With the last magic potion, Hector also heals Sir Roland, a nobleman who had lost his arm. This act sparks a debate over who should rightfully be king, but it ends with the current King Serge retaining his position.

Meanwhile, Kaoru arrives in Aras, the royal capital of the Kingdom of Brancott. To avoid suspicion, she sells silver she stole from Baron Renié at a pawnshop with a fabricated story. With the money, she plans to live a quiet life and begins working at a restaurant called the Big Belly Bistro. There, she introduces new dishes and advises guests on business matters.

Prince Fernand and his friend Allan of Brancott become regulars at the bistro. Fernand, fascinated by Kaoru's advice, grows increasingly pushy and seeks her counsel until he becomes a nuisance. Kaoru eventually loses her patience and scolds him, telling him to stop harassing her.

Just as Kaoru thinks she's grown accustomed to her new life, she receives a royal summons bearing the crest of Brancott's royal family. The episode ends with Kaoru's disbelief, and her dreams of a peaceful life seem shattered.
