The 38-volume series had been published by Heyne since March 2006. After many weeks and months of uncertainty, the publisher confirmed via email in response to inquiries from some readers that Volume 19 of the series will no longer be released.
Fans of the series now have no choice but to continue reading it in, for example, English. Samurai Deeper Kyo is published, among others, by Tokyopop in the USA.
