"Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos the Movie": Re-master of the original opening

On the official website of "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos the Movie," the two-part anime adaptation of the final "Shadow Galactica" arc of Naoko Takeuchi's iconic Sailor Moon manga, the clean opening sequence for the films has recently been made available. The newly revealed sequence features a new version of the opening song "Moonlight Densetsu" (Moonlight Legend), familiar to fans from the 1992 Sailor Moon anime.



Saori Hayami, Marina Inoue, and Ayane Sakura lend their voices to the characters Taiki Kō/Sailor Star Maker, Seiya Kō/Sailor Star Fighter, and Yaten Kō/Sailor Star Healer, respectively. Nana Mizuki, Megumi Hayashibara, and Kotono Mitsuishi voice the characters Princess Kakyū, Sailor Galaxia, and Chibi Chibi, contributing to the diverse cast of voices in the film.

Several additional voice actors are part of the project, including Sena Koizumi as Sailor Iron Mouse, Ayumu Murase as Sailor Aluminum Siren, Yōko Hikasa as Sailor Lead Crow, and Mariya Ise as Sailor Tin Nyanko. The film also features Haruka Kudō, Shiori Mikami, Kanae Itō, Fumie Mizusawa, Yuka Komatsu, and Keiko Kitagawa in the roles of various Sailor Guardians.

The two-part film project is directed by Tomoya Takahashi, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu returning to write the scripts. Veteran character designer Kazuko Tadano continues her design work for the project, while Yasuharu Takanashi once again composes the music for the film. Daoko contributes her vocal talent for the theme song "Tsuki no Hana" (Moonflower).
