Rurouni Kenshin is a manga that has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump since 1994 and has led to an anime adaptation, several OVAs, five live-action films, spin-off manga, and novels over the years.

The story follows a wandering samurai from the Meiji era who tries to leave his career as an assassin behind and instead dedicates his sword to protecting the weakest, using his powerful and devastating swordsmanship without claiming further lives. Kenshin is surrounded by a cast of unforgettable characters, all of whom are without family or homeland.
