In a few weeks, ProSieben MAXX will bring the second season of the anime adaptation of »Solo Leveling« back to free TV. As shown in the broadcaster's program schedule, the repeat starts on September 18, 2026. The 13 episodes will then air each Friday at 11:45 PM, directly following the current broadcast of the first season, which ends with its twelfth episode on the same time slot one week earlier. After the TV broadcast, the individual episodes will be available for free on demand on the streaming service Joyn.
The second season is the continuation with the subtitle »Arise from the Shadow«. Its free-TV premiere took place on November 7, 2025, also on ProSieben MAXX, then in blocks of three starting at 10 PM. In Japan, the 13-episode season was already aired from January to March 2025; the local TV start took place on Tokyo MX. The story is based on the South Korean web novel by Chugong, whose webtoon adaptation was created by DUBU (REDICE Studio) and published by D&C Media. In the plot, mysterious portals opened ten years before the events of the series, behind which lie dungeons full of monsters. People with supernatural powers, known as hunters, confront the creatures; their strength is divided into ranks from E to S. The hunter Sung Jin-Woo struggles through life as the »weakest hunter of mankind« until a mysterious system chooses him as the sole player. From then on, he gets the chance to become stronger through quests and leveling up, overcoming his previous limits.
