'Psycho-Pass Providence' 10th Anniversary Movie Hits Theaters In May, New Trailer Revealed

Fuji TV has released a new trailer for the upcoming 10th Anniversary film "Psycho-Pass Providence," set to hit theaters on May 12. The trailer features the final theme song "Tōjisha" (The One Concerned), performed by EGOIST.



Naoyoshi Shiotani is back at the helm, directing at Production I.G, while TOHO handles distribution. Series writer Makoto Fukami returns as screenwriter alongside Tow Ubukata, who joined the franchise for "Psycho-Pass 2." The film is based on the original "Psycho-Pass" anime by Gen Urobuchi.

The film will see the return of numerous cast members from previous installments of the franchise, including Kana Hanazawa as Akane Tsunemori, Tomokazu Seki as Shinya Kōgami, Kenji Nojima as Nobuchika Ginoza, and Shizuka Itou as Yayoi Kunizuka, to name a few.

The original "Psycho-Pass" anime premiered in 2012, followed by the 11-episode TV series "Psycho-Pass 2" in 2014 and the "Psycho-Pass" film in January 2015. The franchise also includes the three-part project "Psycho-Pass SS" or "Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System." The latest installment in the series, "Psycho-Pass 3," was released in October 2019 in one-hour episodes exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
