In Episode 17 of "Ragna Crimson," the story begins with Chris throwing a sword at Taratectora, who tries to deflect it with his arm cannon but is slightly injured due to Olto Zora's intervention. Meanwhile, Ragna grabs the weapon and executes a "Hunting Lightning" attack on Taratectora. From a distance, Zora mistakenly believes Taratectora has been killed, but Taratectora reveals he survived by blowing himself up to avoid instant death from the attack, though he foresees his own demise.

Zora and Taratectora reflect on their past, discussing their former alliance with Princess Lakucia and devising a strategy for their current conflict with Starlia. Taratectora, contemplating his relationship with Zora, urges Zora to leave before detonating himself to drag Starlia and her allies into the explosion. As the blast spreads, Ragna, with her dwindling strength and Slime's support, attempts to contain it.

Starlia, observing Ragna's struggle, blames herself for potentially hindering him with her sword and reflects on the sacrifices and survivors of the conflict. To aid Ragna, she amplifies his power with her abilities, and together they succeed in neutralizing Taratectora's attack. Starlia recognizes the influence of Ragna's future self and expresses concern for him. She offers Ragna a place among her forces, giving him time to decide.

As Ragna loses consciousness, Starlia and her group acknowledge the end of the conflict and prepare to use a magical teleportation circle. When Ragna awakens, Slime congratulates her, but the moment is abruptly interrupted as Kamui appears, killing Starlia and her troops. Kamui then challenges Ragna to a fight.

Nebulim and Ultimatia discuss Kamui's actions, with Ultimatia expressing confidence in Kamui's victory. During Ragna's battle with Kamui, a flashback reveals how Crimson warned Ragna about Kamui's past and the dangerous demonic sword "Six Claws and Twin Fangs." Despite the warning, Ragna attacks Kamui but is quickly overwhelmed. As Kamui prepares to deliver the killing blow, Ragna awakens in an alternate world with Starlia, bewildered by the situation.
