Ranma 1/2 (2024) - Episode 12

Ranma tries to figure out the cause of Akane's sudden amnesia, as she no longer seems to recognize him. Akane keeps her distance and explains that she doesn’t remember any connection to him. Their friends are surprised and curious about the confrontation between her and Shampoo, but Akane claims the fight was easy, which Ranma doubts.

With Ryoga’s help—whom Ranma transforms back into his human form using water—Ranma learns that Shampoo used an unusual technique on Akane. However, Ryoga can’t provide exact details about the attack. Dr. Tofu eventually diagnoses that Shampoo employed a special technique called "Xi Fa Shiang Gao Shiatsu," which can erase memories through targeted pressure points on the head. However, the cure requires a special shampoo mixture that Ranma must obtain from Shampoo.

Shampoo unexpectedly shows up at Dr. Tofu’s clinic and announces that she will be working there as his assistant from now on. Later, at the Tendo household, Shampoo tries to use her technique on Akane again, but Ranma snatches the shampoo from her. He attempts to restore Akane’s memories, leading to a chaotic scene where Akane reacts aggressively toward Ranma. Dr. Tofu explains that a specific recipe for the "119 Shampoo Blend" is needed to complete the process correctly. Unfortunately, he accidentally destroys the recipe book, forcing Ranma to find another solution.

At night, Ranma heads to a Chinese apothecary, where he finds Shampoo carrying the desired mixture. She proposes a deal: Ranma must fulfill her condition—"defeat" his female self. After some chaos involving Ryoga, Soun, and Genma, Ranma ends up in an absurd brawl that finally prompts Akane to intervene.

Akane’s memories begin to return, triggered by Ranma’s familiar teasing. Though Shampoo is furious at the failure of her plans, she hesitates to attack Ranma in his female form and retreats. As Ranma and Ryoga reflect on the events from a rooftop, Ranma shows slight remorse over letting Shampoo go.
