The sequel will adapt the eighth and ninth novels of the franchise: "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out" and "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid." CloverWorks, the studio behind the series, returns with Sōichi Masui once again leading as director. Masahiro Yokotani will resume his role handling composition and scripts, while Satomi Tamura returns as character designer.
The new film is set to release in Japanese theaters on June 23.
