After Sirius and Regulus were defeated, three decisive battles continue:

Otto and his allies face Archbishop Lye of Gluttony. Otto surprises Lye with two water dragons, which are ultimately devoured by him but buy enough time for Felt to retrieve a powerful Metia weapon—one that could even harm Reinhard. Otto must hold out with Gaston and Dynas until Felt returns.

Meanwhile, beneath the surface, Al battles Archbishop Capella, who tries to unsettle him through psychological manipulation by taking on Priscilla’s form. Despite her provocations, Al remains resolute, primarily because Priscilla’s wrath intimidates him more than Capella’s grotesque transformations. His initial attempt to destroy Capella fails, but his determination remains unshaken.

At the same time, Garfiel faces the legendary multi-armed demihuman Kurgan. When Garfiel is forced into a shelter, he encounters his younger siblings, whose safety is immediately threatened. Encouraged by them, Garfiel finally overcomes his guilt from the fight with Elsa, regains his self-confidence, and forces Kurgan to acknowledge him. Kurgan honors Garfiel’s courage by drawing all five of his dreaded demon blades, accepting him as a worthy opponent.

Amid these intense battles, the stage is set for the next decisive duel: Wilhelm versus his undead wife, Theresia.
