The fourth season of the anime series "Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu" is scheduled for a release in April 2026. In this context, an important new character as well as extensive accompanying material was announced.

The newly introduced character role of Reid Astrea is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita. The character is described as the first Sword Saint who lived about 400 years ago and is considered the progenitor of the Astrea family. In the tradition, he is listed as the strongest fighter with an unparalleled talent for the sword, who was also known for his unconventional and extravagant personality.

Furthermore, the first main theme as well as a first comprehensive promotional trailer for the season were released. The trailer contains previously unreleased animation sequences and features both the voice of Shaula, voiced by Ai Fairouz, and that of Tomokazu Sugita as Reid.

Additionally, new visuals of the characters Roy Alphard and Louis Arneb were released, who appeared as Sin Archbishops of the Witch Cult already in the third season.
