Meanwhile, Subaru and Julius face the Sin Archbishop of Gluttony, Roy Alphard. Aware of the danger, they decide to avoid direct combat and focus on their main objective. Subaru is reminded of his promise to save Rem, which strengthens his resolve.

Subaru and Crusch encounter Capella Emerada Lugunica, the Sin Archbishop of Lust. Disguised as a helpless girl, Capella deceives the two before revealing her true identity. She possesses terrifying powers, transforming people into grotesque creatures like dragons and flies. She mocks Subaru by mimicking Emilia’s appearance and voice, questions his feelings, and curses him with her dragon’s blood, leaving Subaru and Crusch severely injured.

Elsewhere, Anastasia and Kiritaka are attacked by Sirius Romanée-Conti, the Sin Archbishop of Wrath. Amid the chaos, Anastasia’s subordinates help her escape, while Kiritaka stays behind to defend the city and his beloved singer.

Reinhard meets with Felt after she confronts her father, Heinkel. Though he wants to protect her, Felt insists that Reinhard instead help Subaru. Reluctantly, Reinhard agrees and sets off to aid his friend.

As the city of Priestella descends into chaos, Capella unleashes a massive flood. She broadcasts her demands to the populace: the surrender of the Tome of Wisdom, the surrender of the artificial spirit living in the city, and the consummation of the marriage with Emilia. She warns against any interference, leaving the city’s defenders in a desperate situation.
