“Rock wa Shukujo no Tashinami deshite”: TV anime starts in April 2025

The TV anime "Rock wa Shukujo no Tashinami deshite," based on the manga by Hiroshi Fukuda, will begin airing in April 2025. A first teaser visual and a first trailer have already been released.

The teaser visual features the main characters, Ririsa Suzunomiya and Otowa Kurogane, students at an elite school, elegantly enjoying a tea break. In the background, however, floating musical instruments can be seen, hinting at the characters' hidden passion for rock music. The first trailer shows Ririsa and Otowa in action-packed scenes, playing their instruments and illustrating the contrast between their aristocratic daily lives and their rock music passion.

The main roles are voiced by Akari Sekine as Ririsa Suzunomiya and Miyuri Shimabukuro as Otowa Kurogane. Additional members of the creative team have been announced: Shinya Watada ("Aikatsu Stars! The Movie") is directing, the script is written by Shogo Yasukawa ("Ayakashi Triangle"), and Yasufumi Soejima ("Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan") serves as visual director. The character design is handled by Risa Miyadani, and the animation is produced by BN Pictures, known for series like "Gintama" and "Aikatsu!"

"Rock wa Shukujo no Tashinami deshite" tells the story of Ririsa, who was once known as a "rock girl" before being introduced to the world of the elite. At her school, she meets Otowa, an outstanding drummer with an aristocratic background, and together they reignite their passion for rock music and form a band. The manga is serialized in Young Animal by Hakusensha.
