RPG "Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin" will receive an anime adaptation from P.A.WORKS in 2024

The Japanese action-RPG "Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin," originally released in 2020, will expand its universe through a TV anime adaptation. P.A.WORKS is behind the production of this highly anticipated series, which is set to air on TV Tokyo in 2024. The story takes place on the mythical "Isle of Demons" and follows the adventures of the harvest goddess Sakuna, who, after being banished from the celestial realm, takes on the challenge of traditional rice cultivation while battling the demonic inhabitants of the island.

The anime features the return of the voice actors from the game, including Naomi Ozora as Sakuna, Tsugushi Narumi as Tama, and Rika Kinugawa as Kokorowa. An emotional teaser image for the anime has also been revealed.
