As part of the 30th anniversary of Dengeki Bunko, a second season of the anime TV adaptation of the light novel series "Rust-Eater Bisco" by Shinji Cobkubo has been confirmed. This announcement was made during a live-streamed event.

The story of Rust-Eater Bisco is set in a post-apocalyptic Japan plagued by a phenomenon known as the "Rusting Wind," which has led to widespread corrosion of cities and lives. The narrative follows Bisco Akaboshi, a member of the socially outcast Mushroom Keepers tribe, who embarks on a mission to find the "rust-eating" mushroom—a miracle drug capable of cleansing the deadly rust—with the goal of saving his ailing mentor. During his journey, Bisco befriends Miro Nekoyanagi, a respected young doctor, and together they attempt to develop a cure for Miro's older sister, who has been severely affected by the rust.
