The episode begins in the village of Turnera, where Belgrieve, Angeline’s father, goes about his daily work. He is visited by Sasha Bordeaux, the second daughter of the Bordeaux family. Sasha expresses her family’s gratitude for the rescue of her sister Seren and offers Belgrieve a reward of one hundred gold coins. Belgrieve accepts the reward, intending to save it for Angeline. Sasha then challenges Belgrieve to a duel to test his swordsmanship. Impressed, Sasha asks Belgrieve to become her mentor.

In the city of Orphen, Angeline is frustrated by the lack of S-rank jobs and her inability to visit her father. Her companions Anessa and Miriam discuss the increasing monster activity and rumors of the Demon Kings’ return. Their conversation is interrupted by a request to deal with a wyvern sighting.

Back in Turnera, Belgrieve is visited by Helvetica Bordeaux, the new countess and Sasha’s older sister. Helvetica also offers Belgrieve a position in her family, which he declines. She attempts to abduct him by force but is thwarted by Belgrieve’s skill. Seren Bordeaux arrives to apologize for her sister’s behavior and invites Belgrieve and the villagers to the autumn festival.

In Orphen, Angeline treats a merchant to a meal after learning he recently visited her father. She is thrilled by the idea of asking her father to come to Orphen to address the shortage of adventurers. The episode ends with Angeline eagerly planning her trip home.
