The episode begins in Turnera, where Belgrieve is going about his daily work. The villagers thank him for his efforts in keeping the area safe. The conversation shifts to Angeline, Belgrieve's daughter, who is currently in Orphen. Belgrieve hopes to see her again in the spring.

In Orphen, Angeline, who calls herself Ange, meets two retired adventurers, Cheborg the Destroyer and Dortos the Silver. They discuss the increasing monster activity and the possible return of the Demon King. The guild master of Orphen, Lionel, reveals that he suspects a Demon King behind the recent monster wave. Since he doesn’t want to risk the lives of lower-ranked adventurers, he has taken up the investigation alone.

Maria, another former S-rank adventurer known as the Dragon Slayer, joins the group. She suffers from a dragon’s curse that causes her to constantly cough. The team decides to confront the source of the monster outbreak—a distorted mass of magic located in a dungeon believed to be rank E.

When they reach the dungeon, they encounter a series of fused monsters. Ange and her companions, Anessa and Miriam, manage to defeat them. They delve deeper into the dungeon, guided by a tingling sensation that Belgrieve once told them is a sign of a boss monster’s presence.

Eventually, they come across the source of the distorted magic, which appears to be a Demon King. Despite its lack of hostility, the creature proves to be a powerful foe. Ange recalls her father’s teachings and, though with difficulty, manages to defeat it.

After the battle, Ange wakes up in the guild’s infirmary. Having defeated the Demon King, she is celebrated as a hero. Lionel thanks her for staying with the guild despite her desire to visit her father. Ange attributes her decision to stay and help to her father’s teachings.

The episode ends with Ange finally returning to Turnera. She is filled with mixed emotions and unsure of how her father feels about her. However, upon her arrival, she is warmly welcomed by Belgrieve, and all her fears melt away.
