"Saikyō -ō Zukan-The Ultimate Tournament": Anime adaptation presents the first details

The anime series "Saikyō-Ō Zukan – The Ultimate Tournament" ("Illustrated Encyclopedia of the Strongest Kings – The Ultimate Tournament"), based on the eponymous children's book series by publisher Gakken, has now released comprehensive information. The original premise revolves around simulated battles between representatives of various species—including animals, dinosaurs, and other creatures—to determine the strongest challenger in a tournament format. The story takes place on a mysterious island called "Saikyō-jima," which features diverse landscapes such as deserts, icy plains, dense forests, caves, and rocky areas, serving as the backdrop for the competitions.

With the anime's launch, the main visual and central cast have also been revealed. Kunihiko Yuyama, who previously worked on earlier anime adaptations of the book series and is known as the longtime director of the "Pokémon" series, once again takes on the role of chief director. Makoto Satō appears as the director. Animation is handled by Studio OLM Digital, with editorial supervision by the original "Saikyō-Ō Zukan" editorial team.

Yoshihisa Kawahara voices Mr. Most, while Mie Sonozaki will be heard as TT. Additionally, it was announced that the VTuber group ROF-MAO will perform the opening theme "Shōri no Uta – Saikyō Muteki Number One," composed and written by Show Ayanocozey. The ending theme "ARE YOU READY? FIGHT!" is contributed by Hayato Kagami, a member of ROF-MAO.
