San-X's Sumikko Gurashi's third anime film reveals new theme song and footage

The third part of the San-X anime film series Sumikko Gurashi has revealed its title song, "Sumikko Disco," performed by Perfume. This information was released alongside a new main visual poster and a trailer for the upcoming film, titled Eiga Sumikko Gurashi: Tsugihagi Kōjo no Fushigi na Ko (The Mysterious Child of the Patchwork Factory).





Hazumu Sakuta, known for his work on Neko no Dayan and Uchū Nanchara Kotetsu-kun, directs the film at Studio Fanworks. Takashi Sumita, who worked on the first film, has written the script for the third installment. Additionally, Yoshihiko Inohara and Manami Honjō, the narrators from the previous films, return to reprise their roles.

In the latest story of the series, the iconic characters stumble upon an abandoned building deep in the forest, which turns out to be a long-forgotten toy factory. Characters like Shirokuma showcase their sewing skills, while Penguin? inspects the toys with a magnifying glass. However, the factory holds a hidden element that promises to be even more extraordinary.
