The TV anime adaptation of "SANDA," the manga by Paru Itagaki, has been announced. At the same time, a teaser visual was released, and it was revealed that Science SARU will handle the animation production.

"SANDA" is set in the near future, where an extreme population decline has led to the loss of various traditions. The story follows Ichie Sanda, a seemingly ordinary second-year student at Daikoku Aigo Academy. One day, his life is suddenly threatened by his classmate Shiori Fuyumura. The reason behind Fuyumura's actions is tied to the disappearance of his friend and a curse that weighs on Sanda. The manga began serialization in 2021 in Weekly Shonen Champion (Akita Shoten) and concluded with the July 11 issue. The final volume, Volume 15, will be released on August 7.

The teaser image features a muscular old man in a red hood who looks like Santa Claus, along with the shadow of a boy emanating from him. Paru Itagaki commented on the adaptation: "I wanted to draw a manga where the characters move dramatically! That’s why I’m very happy about the anime adaptation! I thank the readers and Science SARU."
