Kadokawa has announced an upcoming anime adaptation of Sarasa Nagase's novel series The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor. Although no format or release date has been revealed yet, the news has already stirred excitement among fans of the novels.

The novel series tells the story of Jill, a woman who was sentenced to death by her fiancé, the crown prince. By a miracle, she is sent back in time to when their engagement was decided. In her desperation to change her fate, Jill impulsively proposes to her greatest enemy, Emperor Hadis. Knowing his future evil deeds, she quickly withdraws the proposal—but not before Hadis takes her to his castle. Convinced by his cooking skills, Jill decides to reform him and make him happy, embarking on a journey to reshape her life with her former foe.

Sarasa Nagase began serializing the story on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in November 2019, with the final chapter published on April 26. Kadokawa released the first print volume with illustrations by Fuji in March 2020, and the sixth volume was recently delivered. Cross Infinite World published the first novel volume digitally on March 28.

A manga adaptation by Anko Yuzu launched in Kadokawa's Comp Ace magazine in July 2020, with the fourth volume set for release in December 2022.
