Sasaki and Peeps - Episode 6

In this episode, Sasaki and Shizuka engage in a conversation where Shizuka expresses her desire to work for Sasaki's employer. Sasaki initially explains that he cannot help her, as he lacks the necessary skills, but agrees to connect Shizuka with his superior after she shows interest in his abilities and hints at keeping his secrets.

Meanwhile, Sasaki reports to his superior Akutsu about an encounter with a magical girl and a destroyed freighter. Akutsu accepts Sasaki's explanation and the involvement of supernatural powers in the incident.

Shizuka, posing as a threat, uses her knowledge of Sasaki's powers to force a meeting with Akutsu. After the discussion, Akutsu agrees to consider Shizuka for a contract position under Sasaki's supervision and unexpectedly promotes Sasaki.

Sasaki shares pickled plums, a gift from Shizuka, with his colleagues, eliciting mixed reactions. It turns out that Shizuka is a powerful, ageless clairvoyant capable of siphoning energy. The plums unexpectedly impress boss Akutsu, who seems to have a fondness for them.

The episode concludes with Sasaki and Shizuka negotiating the terms under which Shizuka can stay with Sasaki. They discuss potential deals involving valuable items from another world. In a final scene, Hoshizaki meets Sasaki and Shizuka for drinks, where Sasaki inquires about Hoshizaki's powers and considers how to counter Shizuka's abilities.
