Sasaki and Peeps - Episode 2

In Episode 2 of "Sasaki and Peeps," Sasaki continues his journey with his magical companion Peeps. Sasaki impresses Peeps with his rapid mastery of intermediate spells, which is unusual in their world, as most magic users take much longer to reach this level of proficiency. Sasaki has learned restoration spells and lightning spells but struggles to memorize the incantations. Peeps suggests using a grimoire, which Sasaki already possesses in the form of his portable compendium.

Then, the two meet with Marc, who is intrigued by Sasaki's innovative device that requires metal as fuel. Despite the high cost, Marc is willing to buy Sasaki's entire stock and hints that these devices are needed due to growing tensions with a neighboring country.

Sasaki and Peeps visit a French-run restaurant, where Sasaki hands over his monthly earnings and introduces new recipes. The duo then returns to the modern world, where Sasaki receives a call from Hoshizaki informing him about a mission. Sasaki arrives late at the office, where his boss, Akutsu, briefs him on a mass arrest operation targeting a group of unregistered, potentially dangerous psychics.

Sasaki participates in the operation, which quickly turns out to be a trap. He and his partner, Hoshizaki, encounter Shizuka, a powerful medium. Sasaki negotiates a truce with her, allowing her to leave peacefully in exchange for information and the safety of her superiors.

After the mission, Sasaki reflects on the day's events and his partnership with Hoshizaki, who thanks him for his help. They eat together, and Hoshizaki reveals that she is only sixteen and works for the high pay. At the end of the episode, Sasaki encounters a mysterious young girl, Magical Pink, who suddenly disappears, leaving him puzzled about what to do next.
