The light novel series "The Faraway Paladin" is about to release its second season titled "The Faraway Paladin: The Lord of Rust Mountain." A promotional video giving fans a taste of what to expect has been published on the official website. In this promo, viewers got a preview of the opening song "Meika" (Fire of Life) by Nagi Yanagi and the ending song "Puzzle" by KOTOKO.



An announcement attached to the video stated that the series will premiere on October 7 on Tokyo MX and BS-NTV. Additionally, there were updates to the cast. New additions Gô Shinomiya and Kenichirō Matsuda will voice the characters Ru and Gelrays. For those interested in visual previews, the website showcased artwork from the upcoming season.

The production team consists of a mix of familiar and new faces. Akira Iwanaga will direct the anime at OLM and Sunrise Beyond. Other notable members include Tatsuya Takahashi handling series composition and Tatsuya Arai as character designer, with music contributions by Ryuuichi Takada and Keigo Hoashi from MONACA.

For those unfamiliar, the central story follows Will, a human child raised by three undead beings in a lifeless city. As he grows up, he contemplates his identity, leading to an exploration of the city's mysteries and the history of his guardians.
