Second season of “Freezing: Beyond Journey’s End” announced with teaser visual and video

The TV anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, based on the original work by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe, has officially announced the production of a second season. Along with the announcement, a teaser image and a special production announcement video were released.

The first season aired one year ago with a two-hour special on September 29. The second season picks up where the story left off: Frieren, her apprentice Fern, who now holds the title of First-Class Mage, and the warrior Stark embark on a new journey from Oisarsht, the setting of the "First-Class Mage Exam." The teaser image features symbolic items of the main trio: Frieren's bag, Fern's staff, and Stark's axe, along with their silhouettes. In the announcement video, Atsumi Tanezaki, the voice of Frieren, delivers a new line: "Shall we continue our journey?"

Studio Madhouse, which produced the first season, will also be involved in the second season. Yamada and Abe expressed their gratitude in a joint statement: "The decision to produce a second season is thanks to the support of the fans. We are also deeply grateful to the animation team for creating such a wonderful series. We look forward to continuing Frieren's journey, this time as viewers. Please continue to support Frieren: Beyond Journey's End."
