Second season of Azur Lane: Bisoku Zenshin! announced with new title and team

The popular comedy spin-off series Azur Lane: Bisoku Zenshin! is getting a second season titled Azur Lane: Bisoku Zenshin! Ni!!. To celebrate the announcement, a teaser visual and promo video were released, capturing the playful dynamics of characters like Javelin, Ayanami, Laffey, and Z23.

The direction of the second season will be handled by Shunji Maki (Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu), taking over from the previous team. The script will continue to be written by Hiroshi Sato (Azur Lane: Bisoku Zenshin!), supported by Hotaru Asato (K-On!). This time, the animation will be solely handled by studio CANDY BOX, which was already involved in the first season.

Based on the 4-koma manga by Hori, the series offers a light-hearted perspective on the Azur Lane universe, away from the combat-driven narrative of the original game. The first season, which debuted in January 2021, followed the anthropomorphic warships as they dealt with quirky everyday problems and heartwarming friendship moments.
