The second season of the TV anime adaptation of Kōcha Agasawa's popular webtoon 'Kori no Jouheki' (The Ice Wall) will premiere on October 1, 2026. This was announced after the broadcast of the 14th and final episode of the first season on July 2, 2026. The simultaneously released teaser visual shows the four main characters Koyuki, Miki, Minato, and Yota in an oppressive atmosphere – their gazes do not meet, hinting at the increasing emotional entanglements and misunderstandings among them.

The series is based on the webtoon of the same name by Kōcha Agasawa, originally published from January 2020 to April 2022 on the LINE Manga platform. The manga enjoys great popularity: as of April 2026, it had over 190 million views on LINE Manga, and the compiled volumes published by Shueisha have reached a total circulation of 2.8 million copies (as of May 2026, including digital editions). In 2018, the work was awarded a special prize at the 'Shueisha Shōjo Manga Grand Prix powered by LINE Manga Indies', and in 2023, it ranked second in the AnimeJapan ranking of the most desired anime adaptations.

The first season of the anime aired from April to June 2026 and consisted of 14 episodes. The series is produced by Studio KAI, directed by Mankyū, with series composition by Yasuhiro Nakanishi. Character design is by Miki Ogino, and the music is composed by Kanade Sakuma and Natsumi Tabuchi.

The cast includes again Anna Nagase as Koyuki Hikawa, Fūka Izumi as Miki Azumi, Shōya Chiba as Minato Amamiya, and Satoshi Inomata as Yota Hino. Other voice actors include Chiaki Kobayashi, Sakura Shinfuku, Akira Katō, and others.

The second season will air every Thursday at 23:56 on the TBS network (28 stations) starting October 1, 2026. The series will also be available as a stream on Netflix from October, with more platforms to follow.

The story revolves around the introverted high school student Koyuki Hikawa, who is called 'Queen' by her classmates because she keeps her distance from others. She only opens up to her childhood friend Miki. The encounter with the pushy Minato and the gentle Yota throws her emotional world into disarray. The series tells of complicated relationships and the painful yet beautiful moments of youth.

Fans can look forward to seeing how the story of the four main characters continues in autumn 2026.
