Second season of the sports anime "Oblivion Battery" announced for 2027

The continuation of the anime series "Oblivion Battery" (Japanese original title: Bōkyaku Batterī) has been officially confirmed. The second season of the series based on the baseball manga by Eko Mikawa is scheduled to be released in 2027.

The story follows a group of former baseball talents who have lost their passion for the sport. After an accident, the gifted catcher Kei Kaname suffers from memory loss and must rediscover his enthusiasm for the game and for his former pitcher Haruka Kiyomine.

A new key visual and a special teaser trailer were released for the announcement. This trailer contains newly recorded dialogues of the main characters, voiced by the established voice actors Toshiki Masuda, Mamoru Miyano, Yohei Azakami, Nobunaga Shimazaki, and Yuki Kaji.
