A second official preview clip has been released for the upcoming anime adaptation of the series "Taiyou yori mo Hikaru Hoshi" (English title: A Star Brighter Than the Sun). It was also announced that the song "Saishinwa" (最新話) by Wanuka (和ぬか) will serve as the ending theme.

The new preview focuses on the protagonist's budding first feelings of love. The second half of the video already features the complete song by Wanuka. The artist describes her contribution as a song for which the "shyness" typical of adolescence was a key concept.

Additionally, another voice actress was announced: Haruka Shiraishi (白石晴香) will play the role of Subaru Kamishiro (神城昴), a third cousin of the male lead and a student in her final year.

A special program featuring the voice actors Yoshinori Fujidera (藤寺美徳; as Sae Iwata) and Yuuki Ono (小野友樹; as Kouki Kamishiro) is scheduled for September 28, 2025. Further information will be released on the production's official channels.

The plot of A Star Brighter Than the Sun revolves around the slightly sturdily built student Sae Iwata and her first love. As an elementary school student, she fell hopelessly in love with the smile of her classmate Kouki Kamishiro. While he grew into a popular, attractive boy in middle school and drifted apart, the two grow closer again during a sports festival towards the end of their school days, reawakening Sae's long-buried feelings.#
