Seishun Buta Yarō Anime Film Sequel Releases Full Trailer and Theme Song Preview

The anime film project based on Hajime Kamoshida's Seishun Buta Yarō light novel series has released the full trailer for the first of the two films, "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out." Alongside the trailer, fans can now also preview the film's theme song, a solo version of "Fukashigi no Karte" from the earlier TV anime, sung by Kaede Azusagawa (voiced by Yurika Kubo).

The anime continuation project adapts the eighth and ninth novels of the franchise: "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out" and "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid." Sōichi Masui returns to direct at CloverWorks, Masahiro Yokotani is in charge of composition and scripts, and Satomi Tamura is the character designer.
The cast includes Kaito Ishikawa as Sakuta Azusagawa, Asami Seto as Mai Sakurajima, Yurika Kubo as Kaede Azusagawa, Nao Tōyama as Tome Koga, Atsumi Tanezaki as Rio Futaba, Maaya Uchida as Nodoka Toyohama, and Inori Minase as Shōko Makinohara.
"Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out" will premiere in Japan on June 23. The original TV anime, "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai," which aired for 13 episodes, premiered in Japan in October 2018.
