The light novel series "Sentenced to Be a Hero: The Prison Records of Penal Hero Unit 9004," written by Rocket Shokai, is set to receive an anime adaptation, as confirmed during the livestream celebrating the 30th anniversary of Dengeki Bunko.
The series' unique premise revolves around the concept that heroism is a form of punishment reserved for the most severe criminals. The characters burdened with this fate are tasked with fighting on the front lines against the forces of the Demon King.
