"Shampinion no Majo" starts 2026 – teaser and cast announced

A new anime project titled Shampinion no Majo, based on the work of Tachibana Higuchi, has been announced for a January 2026 start. Alongside the reveal, initial information about the voice cast, production team, a teaser visual, and a first trailer were released.

The story takes place in a fantasy world and focuses on the friendly black magician Luna, whose body possesses an unusual trait: wherever she goes or touches something, poisonous mushrooms grow, and even her breath and skin contain toxins. Luna will be voiced by Haruka Shiraishi in the anime adaptation. The direction is handled by Yosuke Kubo, series composition is by Yuko Kakihara, and character design is by Miki Matsumoto. The anime is produced by Taifu Graphics and Qzil.la.

The released teaser visual shows Luna deep in the dark forest, lying down as she gazes at the sky. The first trailer offers viewers glimpses into Luna's daily life, showcasing various emotional moments ranging from joy to sadness. Additionally, the voice of the main character, performed by Haruka Shiraishi, can be heard for the first time.
