Shangri-La Frontier Anime Releases Third Promotional Video and Character Visuals

The creators of the TV anime series "Shangri-La Frontier," based on the popular web novel by Katarina, recently released a series of new images and their third promotional video. The video offers a preview of the series' opening theme, "Broken Games," sung by FZMZ. One of the released images highlights the character Lycaon the Nightslayer.





The series' cast is led by two recurring voices from the 2021 promotional video. Yūma Uchida voices Sunraku, also known as Rakurō Hizutome, while Azumi Waki lends her voice to Psyger-0, also known as Rei Saiga. Other cast members include Yōko Hikasa as Arthur Pencilgon, Makoto Koichi as Oikatzo, Rina Hidaka as Emul, Yumiri Hanamori as Psyger-100, Sayaka Senbongi as Animalia, Seiichirō Yamashita as Orcelott, and Akio Ohtsuka as Viceash.

The anime is set to premiere on October 1 and will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll. The series will span two quarters of a year.

The story revolves around Rakurō Hizutome, a high school student obsessed with playing "bad games." His unparalleled gaming skills turn even the worst games into a joy for him. When he dives into the new VR game Shangri-La Frontier, he skips the prologue and jumps straight into the action, showcasing his typical playstyle. But the game is full of secrets waiting to be uncovered.
