Shangri-La Frontier - Episode 21

In Episode 21 of Shangri-La Frontier, Sunraku, Oikatzo, and Pencilgon discuss the potential of the sci-fi armor and weapons they obtained for their battle against Wethermon. These seem promising but require a special energy source, the Non-Standard Ether Reactor, to function. Pencilgon reveals that the items are currently just art pieces due to the lack of this energy source. Oikatzo surprises them with a Non-Standard Ether Reactor, though it is damaged. They search for ways to repair it but face difficulties since the in-game blacksmiths are unfamiliar with the technology.

The group then shifts focus to exchanging unique game information and conditions for unlocking special scenarios. Sunraku shares his experiences with a unique monster, Lycagon the Night Terror, and describes the specific conditions he met to achieve a significant accomplishment.

Pencilgon discusses the consequences of player killing (PK) and introduces the concept of "washing" items to protect them from in-game penalties. This involves transferring ownership of items to a faction called "The Golden Scale" to prevent them from being lost. Pencilgon also explains how he used this method to safeguard a valuable item and the financial and level sacrifices he made to retrieve it.

The trio decides to form a clan and holds a playful selection process for the clan leader, with Pencilgon being chosen. They discuss potential names for their new clan and, after some debate, settle on one.

At the end of the episode, they encounter another player, Black Vulf A, who seeks out the trio due to their recent in-game achievements. The encounter is brief, as the trio decides to split up to focus on individual tasks, including leveling up and operating the Ether Reactor.

The episode concludes with Sunraku contemplating how to repair the Ether Reactor and devising an ambitious plan to raise Bilac’s crafting level to that of an ancient craftsman to accomplish this task.
