Shangri-La Frontier - Episode 3

The episode begins with Sunraku recovering from his encounter with the unique monster Lycagon, the Killer of the Night. He realizes he is cursed with the "Lycagon Mark," which prevents him from equipping armor on certain body parts and affects his interactions with NPCs. Despite this setback, Sunraku remains determined and reflects on the principles he learned from playing trash games: a patient mind, an unbreakable spirit, and cool judgment.

While contemplating his next move, Sunraku comes across a peculiar Vorpal Bunny in the city. Following it, he ends up in a mysterious place called Rabituza, teeming with talking Vorpal Hares. There, he meets Emul, a hare who praises his courage and skills in battling Lycagon. Emul refers to Sunraku as a bearer of the "Vorpal Soul" and takes him to Vysache, the leader of Rabituza.

Vysache acknowledges Sunraku's potential and seems particularly interested in his Vorpal Soul. The episode hints at a deeper connection between Rabituza and the unique monsters, especially Lycagon. Sunraku leaves the meeting fascinated but more determined than ever to face the challenges of Shangri-La Frontier.

The episode also introduces a subplot involving Mana, a friend of Rakuro Hizutome (Sunraku), who seeks advice on improving her gaming skills to impress him. She is advised to play Shangri-La Frontier and learn from her sister, setting the stage for her potential entry into the world of gaming.

The episode ends with Sunraku returning to Secondale, still bearing the Lycagon Mark but armed with new knowledge and goals. He is more resolved than ever to master the complexities of Shangri-La Frontier and eagerly anticipates where his Vorpal Soul will lead him next.
