In this episode, Sunraku once again encounters the unique monster Lycagon the Nightslayer. After losing his first battle against Lycagon due to lack of experience, Sunraku joins the SF-Zoo clan under Animalia's leadership to face the challenge again. SF-Zoo employs an elaborate strategy involving five tanks and ten debuffers to bind and weaken Lycagon, but without a single DPS character.

During the battle, SF-Zoo's impressive teamwork shines as they manage to trap Lycagon using skills like "Atlas Bind" and "Hands of Tartarus." Despite their success, Sunraku notices there is a second version of Lycagon—a shadow clone that moves in darkness and attacks invisibly. This shadow clone makes evasion significantly harder and quickly leads to SF-Zoo's defeat.

Sunraku discovers that Pencilgon, a member of the Black Vulf clan, manipulated Animalia with misleading information to create a unique in-game scenario. This manipulation could drastically shift the power dynamics between clans, as Black Vulf now possesses valuable knowledge about Lycagon's abilities. To prevent this, Sunraku considers sabotaging Psyger-0, though doing so would violate player etiquette.

Psyger-0 shows signs of doubt and demotivation but is encouraged by Rei to enjoy the game with passion. This inspiration helps Sunraku overcome his initial hesitation and refocus on the battle against Lycagon. Determined to master the situation and prove his own skills, Sunraku invites Psyger-0 to join him in fighting Lycagon the Nightslayer together, ensuring the balance of power between clans remains in sight.
