Soon after, the group's attention shifts to a new threat: the "Usurper Dragon," known for its ability to steal magical attacks and weapons mid-battle. Despite their exhaustion from the fight against Lycagon, they manage to decipher the flying foe's tactics and defeat it. Their victory opens the path to the bustling port city of Fifticia, the starting point for further adventures in remote regions.

Upon arrival, Sunraku's achievement of reaching Level 99 catches the attention of the sage Achanuum, who offers him the rare Sub-Job System called "Arcanum." Sunraku receives "The Fool"—an ability that significantly reduces his skill cooldown times but makes him more vulnerable to negative effects and causes healing items to become unreliable. Despite the risks, this ability perfectly complements his fast-paced combat style and could provide major advantages in future battles.

Meanwhile, Rust and Mold prepare for their own challenges in another part of the game. Their planned meeting with Sunraku is expected to yield crucial information about the next unique monster: Ctarnidd of the Abyss. With all parties on the move and new goals on the horizon, Episode 40 ends with the promise of more thrilling battles on land and at sea.
