Shingeki no Kyojin: The Last Attack hits theaters in November

The film adaptation of the anime series Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) by Hajime Isayama, titled "Shingeki no Kyojin Kanketsu-hen THE LAST ATTACK," will hit Japanese theaters on November 8. The film is a reinterpretation of the final chapters of the story, which were previously broadcast in two parts under the title "The Final Season Kanketsu-hen" in March and November 2023.

The 145-minute film expands on the content of the original broadcast by refining the animations and adding 5.1-channel surround sound to provide a comprehensive and immersive experience of the final battle and the conclusion of Eren and his comrades' journey. The theme song, once again performed by Linked Horizon, is titled "Two Thousand Years... Or Perhaps... To You After Twenty Thousand Years..."—a continuation of the second part of 'The Final Season Kanketsu-hen.' Director Yuichiro Hayashi expressed his deep satisfaction with the theatrical release, calling it the fulfillment of a long-held wish.

The original manga Shingeki no Kyojin, serialized in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine from 2009 to 2021, became a global phenomenon: over 140 million copies of the 37-volume series were sold worldwide. The TV anime adaptation began in 2013 and culminated in the broadcast of The Final Season Kanketsu-hen in November 2023, marking the epic conclusion of the series.
