Shinka no Mi Anime Reveals Teaser Video and October Premiere

The publisher Futabasha launched an official website for the TV anime adaptation of Miku's light novel Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei (The Evolution Fruit: Conquering Life Unknowingly) and revealed the main cast, staff, and a teaser promo. The anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2021.



Yoshiaki Okumura is directing the anime for studios feel. and Children's Playground Entertainment. Hotline is handling production. Minami Eda is adapting U35's character designs for animation. Gigaemon Ichikawa is writing and overseeing the series scripts. Hifumi, Inc. is composing the music. Additionally, in Shinka no Mi ~Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei~, voice actors Hiro Shimono and Kana Hanazawa will play the lead roles of Seiichi Hiiragi and Saria, respectively.

The story of Shinka no Mi ~Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei~ follows Seiichi Hiiragi, an unfortunate young man despised by his classmates for being ugly, chubby, and smelly. Seiichi's luck worsens when his class is transported to another world. There, he finds himself alone in the wilderness and pursued by a lovesick female gorilla named Saria. The disastrous life of this mismatched pair takes a positive turn after they consume the legendary "Fruit of Evolution," and an unexpected transformation occurs...
