Fans of Shinobu Ohtaka's Orient manga can rejoice, as the June issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine announced that the "final battle" of the story will begin in the next issue of the magazine, set to release on June 9.

The manga was first serialized in May 2018 in Weekly Shōnen Magazine and later moved to Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in February 2021. The 18th volume of the manga was released on March 9, with Kodansha USA Publishing handling the English version, and the 15th volume is set to release on June 6.

Orient follows the story of Musashi, a teenager living in a world ruled by demons. Alongside his best friend, he vows to become the greatest warrior and overthrow the demonic forces. However, life gets in the way, and Musashi must face the reality of taking on 150 years of demonic rule alone, while also being tempted by the prospect of a "normal" life.

The first quarter of the anime adaptation premiered in Japan in January 2022. The second quarter aired on TV Tokyo in July 2022, covering the "Fierce Battle at Awaji Island Arc" from the original manga.
