A new website announced on Friday that Shizuki Fujisawa's manga "Yuzuki-san Chi no Yon Kyōdai" (Youth Story of a Family or The Four Yuzuki Brothers) will receive a TV anime adaptation. Studio Shuka, known for "Natsume's Book of Friends," will animate the project, which is set to premiere in the fall.

The anime "Yuzuki-san Chi no Yon Kyōdai" will focus on a coming-of-age story revolving around four brothers: Hayato, the family's breadwinner and a schoolteacher; Mikoto, the aloof brother who excessively idolizes Minato; Minato, the gentle-natured brother; and Gakuto, the confident first-grader. The heartwarming story is expected to highlight the lives and relationships of these brothers as they navigate life's challenges.

Mitsuru Hongo, known for his work on "Gunma-chan" and "Ascendance of a Bookworm," will direct the anime adaptation at Studio Shuka. Orie Tanaka, who previously served as animation director for "Natsume's Book of Friends," will be in charge of character design.

The manga, which debuted in 2018 in Shogakukan's shōjo manga magazine Betsucomi, has so far released 13 compiled volumes, with the latest volume published on January 26. In 2020, the manga won the shōjo category at the 66th Shogakukan Manga Awards.
