"Shūmatsu no Walküre III" ("Record of Ragnarok III"): New Material and Further Casting

Further details have been announced for the third season of the anime production "Shūmatsu no Walküre". A second key visual as well as a third promotional video have been released.

The new key visual shows several fighters in dynamic confrontations, reflecting the intense battles of the series. The promotional video offers insights into the fights of the seventh, eighth and ninth rounds of the "Ragnarok" contest, which deals with the pride of the gods and humanity as well as the beliefs of the fighters.

Shun Horie has been confirmed as an additional voice actor. He will take on the role of the prophet Nostradamus. Horie stated that he intends to portray Nostradamus as an unpredictable, nimble yet taxing personality. An official illustration of the character can be seen on the series' website.

The band GLAY is contributing their new song "Dead Or Alive" as the opening theme. The composer and lyricist TAKURO stated that he wrote the piece with the epic story and the individual plights of the characters in mind, which cannot be easily resolved by justice. A portion of the song can be heard in the third promotional video.

The plot of "Shūmatsu no Walküre" revolves around a contest in which 13 of the strongest fighters from human history face gods in 13 one-on-one duels to ensure the survival of humanity. The third season continues the plot with the seventh fight.
