"Shūmatsu Train Doko e Iku?" reveals more details ahead of 2024 premiere

During a recently held livestream presentation, details about the upcoming original anime series "Shūmatsu Train Doko e Iku?" (Where Does the Doomsday Train Go?) were revealed. The series, produced by Kadokawa, is set to make its TV debut in 2024.



The announced details include the introduction of additional cast members and an overview of the plot. Azumi Waki will portray Nadeshiko Hoshi, a pacifist with archery skills; Erisa Kuon will play Reimi Kuga, a city-loving girl with sharp senses; Hina Kino voices Akira Shinonome, a trivia enthusiast with a childish streak; and Chika Anzai will portray Shizuru Chikura, a girl searching for her missing boyfriend.

The setting of "Shūmatsu Train Doko e Iku?" is a strange rural town where the inhabitants are faced with an unusual incident. In this environment, a young girl named Shizuru Chikura, along with three other girls, embarks on a journey aboard an abandoned train in a desperate attempt to find her lost friend. The series promises a mix of mystery and adventure, focusing on the girls' uncertain survival as they navigate the world outside their town.

As for the production team, Tsutomu Mizushima is in charge of directing, while Michiko Yokote oversees the series' scripts. Asako Nishida is responsible for the character design.
